Jipan Manju

Manju is a popular traditional Japanese confection. There are many varieties of manju, but most have an outside made from flour, rice powder and buckwheat and a filling of `an` (red bean paste), made from boiled azuki beans and sugar.

Jipan's version also has red beans filling but with added cherry blossom flower on top.


It was like a siopao bun, has a savory smell and contrasting sweet and savory taste.

Jipan Wafu Burger

Wafu-burger, is a Japanese-style beef burger sauced with soy, sake, brown sugar and honey.


Jipan's wafu burger was like an open-faced hamburger on a bed of gravied potatoes on top of a soft bread drizzled with Japanese mayo.


It was very filling. The wafu patty slightly gave that MSG taste but not too much. The gravied potatoes underneath were delicious as well as the Japanese mayo that I wish it has more of.


It also gave that Hamburger Combo Meal vibe sans the drink, with the gravied potatoes as the fries.

Dulcinea Praline

Like a sansrival, baklava and coffee crunch cake/torte.


Like a sansrival because it's filled and iced with buttercream, like a baklava because it's made up of several layers of sweetened and buttered puff pastry, and like a coffee crunch cake/torte because it's coated with crushed coffee crunch.


Of course the taste was a mixture of all three with added creaminess from the egg yolk custard film and sweetness from the icing and chocolate.

At first I was unsure of buying it but I definitely made the right choice. I finished it in seconds. Definitely worthy of its P52 price.

Tinapayan Sylvannas

Meringue iced and filled with buttercream and cashews.


It was good and not too sweet, with the buttercream not being too rich either.


It also has generous amounts of cashews, more than enough for its tiny size.

Jipan Green Tea Muffin

It has a matcha tea smell that satiates. It also remained moist even when stored in the chiller. And has enough red beans for its size.



It has a matcha sweet and creamy taste, like Starbucks Green Tea Frap. But after a couple of bites it tasted like any corn muffin or maybe my tongue/taste buds just got used to it (bored).

Intercontinental Chocolate Croissant

More like a mini pain au chocolat than a chocolate croissant.


It was over baked that I wasn't able to enjoy its taste at first. The bitter/over baked taste of the top crust overpowered its supposedly butteriness and even the sweetness coming from the powdered sugar dusted on top.

But when you removed the over baked top, everything else was good.


The chocolate filling was so good, delicious even, that I would buy it on its own and even ate all the chocolate fillings of my 4 chocolate croissants first.
