The first time I went to their branch in Glorietta, this was soldout. Luckily, it was available on my second try. 

Unfortunately though, it wasn't that good. It was too bland for my taste. And you'll get too cloyed if you finish a slice.

I were able to buy miniature versions of their cupcakes. 

Red Velvet, Almond Brownie, Ferrero, Peanut Butter S'mores, Chocolate Chip and one which name I forgot. 

They were cute, tasty and for just 30 pesos a piece.

Cafe Shibuya Casserole, Florentine and Crepe

Ran out of restos to eat in Glorietta. And since we've been walking non-stop, and it was very hot that afternoon, we just settled on the nearest resto we saw, Cafe Shibuya

My husband had the Chicken Casserole and Peach Iced Tea

He said that they were all good. I took a bite of the casserole, and it was indeed tasty. 

While I ordered the Fish Florentine and Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe

The florentine was rather bland, even with the sauce. And the crepe, although tasty, was crispy and chewy, and so inferior compared to Cafe Breton's.

Park Avenue Desserts Cupcakes and Roca

I ordered a Glamour Cake from The Sweet Life of Angie for pick-up last Thursday, February 12, but had problems communicating with them thru viber. I ordered Sunday, but got a reply only on Monday evening, telling me that they can't process my order unless I make a 50% downpayment thru bank deposit. Thus, I asked right away for their bank account details, so I can deposit it Tuesday morning. I didn't get a reply after that. I only got a message Thursday evening telling me to pick-up my order that same day. For which I answered that I don't need it anymore. I was also supposed to buy a Pink Daydream flower arrangement from them. I was really looking forward for both orders, that I was really disappointed with the way they handled my orders. 

Anyways, as I still want to buy something sweet to celebrate Valentine's Day, I just bought a whole Chocolate Cake from Cafe Mary Grace (no photo), Red Velvet and Blue Velvet Cupcakes and Roca from Park Avenue Desserts

All were good. But with the cupcakes, I still prefer the blue velvet over the red velvet. While the roca was really made for a true blue chocoholic like me.

Cafe Shibuya Triple Dark Chocolate Frappe

I wanted the Red Velvet Milkshake of Cupcakes by Sonja but decided to try something new that I bought the Triple Dark Chocolate Frappe of Cafe Shibuya instead. 

Belgian chocolate ganache, Ghirardelli cocoa, and sweetened cocoa powder.

To be honest, I didn't like it one bit. It tasted cheap for something with belgian chocolate and Ghirardelli cocoa.

Park Avenue Desserts

I liked their Eiffel Tower Praline, that I came back for more. Unfortunately, it was already soldout. Disappointed, I looked around for other items to try. It wasn't hard as I wanted to try them all. But I just limit myself to 4 that day.

I bought a small container of their Brookies (brownie + cookie rolled into one), Melted Brownie, Blue Velvet (like red velvet but it's blue, with white chocolate, cream cheese and blueberry filling) and Salted Caramel Praline.

I had the brookies both at room temperature and warmed in the microwave. I like it more melted.

I were told that the Blue Velvet was their blue version of the red velvet but better, as it's with white chocolate and blueberry filling. I were also told that it's good and not too sweet. And they weren't lying. 

The Melted Brownie was also good and chocolatey. It's different from traditional brownies as it has 3 layers of chocolate with different textures and taste.

And lastly the Salted Caramel Praline. 

You would think that it's pricey for it's size, but think again, as they didn't scrimp on anything on this praline. Just look at how thick the caramel is inside. 

Honestly, they haven't disappointed me yet when it comes to taste. As all I have bought from them were delicious. Can't wait to sample more of what they offer next time.

Santouka

I was craving for ramen for the longest time now, fortunately, I was able to satiate my ramen craving yesterday. 

Had my favorite Shio (salt) Ramen at Santouka. I ordered the ramen set with salmon. That's your choice of ramen (flavor), salmon katsu, rice, side salad, fruits/mini cupcake and green tea.

Cupcakes by Sonja Red Velvet Milkshake and Hostess with the Mostess

I was craving for something sweet and new to try, that when I passed by Cupcakes by Sonja in Glorietta, my eyes were glued on the milkshakes standee. 

There were four milkshake variants, but I asked for their bestseller, and were told that it's the Red Velvet Milkshake.

A staff said that it's made of their Red Velvet Vixen Cupcake mixed with vanilla ice cream. 

It was delicious but so rich. That I had to drink it on intervals and not on one go. But I would definitely buy one again. 

For my cupcake, I chose the Hostess with the Mostess.

It's one of their seasonal cupcakes. It has a valrhona chocolate cupcake base with marshmallow center and glazed with chocolate ganache.

I didn't find it good. It's just like a Fudgee Bar. Definitely not worth the P105 price.

Eric Kayser Dark Chocolate Cookie

Not as dark, fudgey and gooey as I would love it to be, but I still like it, as it has a lot of nuts and chocolate chunks.

Cukay's and Baked by Anita

While walking around Glorietta, I chanced upon their weekend gourmet area, where I saw Baked by Anita and bought 2 pieces of their Wild Mushroom and Truffle Oil Bocaditos and a piece of their Original Scones.

The bocaditos were good and very filling. The scones were also good, but better if they come with custard and clotted cream.

I also bought Green Tea Cupcake from Cukay's

Friday's Milkshakes

      Double Chocolate Milkshake

    Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake

Taste-wise, the cheesecake was better than the double chocolate, but an order can be too much to finish. So I still prefer the double chocolate than the blueberry.

Cibo Tagliata di Manzo and Lasagna Classico

A friend and I saw an IG post of a basketball player of Cibo's Beef Tagliata di Manzo and decided we should try it soon. 

So last Thursday, when we watch Transformers, we had a quick lunch there first. We ordered that plus their Lasagna Classico and Spremuta di Limone (Fresh Lemonade)

We loved everything we ordered. And would definitely come back for more.

Outback Steakhouse

We (my friend and I) were supposed to eat lunch at Santouka, but when we saw the wait list, we took a couple of steps back, and had lunch instead at Outback Steakhouse.

I had the Grilled Fish Marsala

Cream dory fish lightly seasoned and grilled, topped with spinach and mushroom marsala sauce, served with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

I like the slight spicyness of the marsala sauce and the very rich mashed potato. 

And Sparkling Citrus Cooler for my drinks. 

Fresh orange, lime and cucumber, mixed with flavors of pomegranate and red sangria. 

I love the cooler. I thought I wouldn't like it, but I did. Even more than my main dish.

My friend ordered the Steak Tips with Garlic and Peppers

She said it was just an okay order, but she liked the Aussie Fries it came with. And so did I.

Don Henrico's

For my son's birthday lunch, we chose Don Henrico's in Glorietta.

We ordered the Mushroom Soup, Baked Mussels, Nachos, BBQ Buffalo Wings, Carbonara, Lasagna, Pizza Bianca and Cheeseburger Pizza. 

We liked everything.

Vanilla Cupcake Bakery Classic S'mores

I wanted to try something new at Vanilla Cupcake Bakery, than my favorite Red Velvet, but I still want it to be with chocolate, thus my choice of Classic S'mores.

I like this cupcake too. It has almost everything that I want. I would definitely buy more of this next time.
