Vanilla Cupcake Bakery Fudge Brownie and Luscious Salted Caramel Cupcakes

On our way back to Glorietta from SM Makati, we passed by Vanilla Cupcake and bought ourselves some cupcakes to eat at home.

I've already tried quite a few of their cupcakes, so that afternoon I bought those that I haven't tried yet but wanted to. I bought Fudge Brownie and Luscious Salted Caramel. I was torn between the Salted Caramel and Butter Toffee at first, but as I am a chocoholic, I bought the Salted Caramel.

I like the chocolate cupcake base of the Salted Caramel but not the caramel frosting. It was too buttery for me. The fudge brownie though was indeed a cupcake version of a brownie. A brownie with crunchy crust and cakey insides. But I don't like it's exterior. It was very dry and hard (the brownie topping) and the frosting was not smooth and was too sweet.

Sumosam

We just ate Burger King's BBQ Whopper Meal inside the cinema ( we watched The Great Gatsby in 3D), so as soon as we went out, we looked for something good to eat. We settled at Sumosam in Greenbelt.

I ordered Tori Chizu, Chicken Teriyaki, Japanese Fried Rice and Green Tea Popsicle, while my friend had California Maki, Japanese Carbonara, Chicken Teriyaki, Green Tea Iced Tea and Pistachio Popsicle.

I like the maki, japanese fried rice and carbonara, although the noodles were soggy. I don't like the tori chizu as they included the chicken skin in the roll and I don't eat chicken skin. The green tea popsicle was better than the pistachio, even if there's pistachio in every bite of the popsicle, it was "nakakaumay".
