Sango

Before I attended a diet counseling session, my husband and I ate lunch first at Sango in Milelong.

They underwent a renovation, which somehow made their restaurant looked dark. Compared to before where you have to go to the counter to order, now you can just sit and call for someone to take your order. And they don't use pad and paper anymore. They  now use an Ipad like gadget for order taking (or is it the real deal? I didn't ask).

With all that changes come change in prices too. Almost all their burgers and sandwiches are in sumo size (1 1/2 of their normal size, and comes with fries). They now only offer normal size of  the Master Burger and Rice Burger, the rest are all sumo.

My husband ordered the Egg Teriyaki Burger, or burger with egg.

He liked and finished his burger.

He also had Plain Calpis Soda or a japanese soda with yogurt.

While I had the Unagi Rice Burger, a very filling burger, and Matcha Azuki Shake.

La Dolce Vita

As soon as the holy week ended I was back at Power Plant Mall/Rockwell again.

I so wanted to watch Beastly starring Vanessa Hudgens and my crush since Wild Child, Alex Pettyfer.

I was just in time for the 130PM screening, but since I still don't have snacks to eat inside, I chose to watch on the 340PM screening instead.

My snacks were my favorites. The Truffle Fries of Bistecca and the Chicken Parmesan Sliders of Astralis. For dessert was the Blueberry Muffin of Santis and for drinks, I was able to sneak-in a bottle of Perrier Lemon.

After the movie I had a snack again of another favorite, Sango's Maccha Azuki Cornflake Shake.

The Three Musketeers

After my late lunch at Astralis, I tried to burn off the extra calories by walking/shopping inside Powerplant. As if all that I have bought at Forever 21 wasn't enough, I still bought a lot more. There's just a lot of beautiful things to buy inside, and I can't resist.

Two hours have passed since my astralis lunch, and although I wasn't that hungry yet, it was already dinnertime and near the closing time of the mall. In just 30 minutes the mall will be closed, and it will be time for me to go home.

Since I weren't that hungry, I decided to just buy from the two restos that I originally came at Powerplant/Rockwell for - Bistecca for their Truffle Fries and at Sango for their Chicken Curry Burger and Maccha Azuki. So that were my dinner, sans the Chicken Curry Burger as I still have two more Chicken Parmesan Slider left from lunch. I had my bliss just then.

BTW, Bistecca still charges service charge even if you order to go/take home. They are like CPK, but with CPK it's written as packaging charge and not service charge.

Sango

After shopping inside Powerplant Mall and buying a lot of unnecessary but cute stuff, I went outside and had an after dinner snack/late supper at Sango.

I was choosing between Chicken Teriyaki with Tar Tar Sauce and Chicken Curry Burger. I have tried and liked chicken curry before, I was just torn between wanting to try something new and wanting to eat the chicken curry again. The latter won.

I ordered Chicken Curry Burger (P150) and the Maccha Azuki Cornflake Shake (P85). I asked that the green tea ice cream be replaced by vanilla as I am still off chocolates, coffee and tea. I also asked that the maccha be served with the burger if not before.

The experience of having it with green tea ice cream is still the best. Although the vanilla was good, nothing beats green tea ice cream with mochi balls and Japanese monggo. I really miss green tea, be it the ice cream or the tea itself.

Then came the chicken curry, just when I was about to put the last spoonful of the cornflake shake inside my mouth.

The chicken curry was soooo good that night. A mix of warm from the chicken curry and cold from the coleslaw mix. It was so good that even after having finished my cornflake shake, I still have a big space for it.

It was also a blast just hanging out inside Sango, with their free wi-fi, good airconditioning and lots of mangas to read. My anime-loving niece will surely have a great time here. Actually she can't wait to eat here.
