I met up with friends (just two college friends) at Trinoma, and with lack of restaurant choices, had lunch at Friday's.
We had the Grand Nachos to share among us, and each ordered our own entree.
One friend had the chicken fingers, another had the chicken mushrooms, while I had the lunch combo of half chicken club sandwich and half caesar salad.
The grand nachos were way better than their ballpark nachos as it also have chicken and beef in it. But an order was really big. Maybe good for 5 or more. We were able to only eat half of it.
The chicken club sandwich and the caesar salad were both just okay.
Happy Eating!
P.S. For our drinks, we had Happy Lemon Cocoa with Rocksalt (mine was with extra pearl and pudding, my favorite!) , which we brought inside Friday's. I don't know if it's (bringing in food/drinks from other restaurants) allowed, but they didn't say anything.

Conti's Dulce Cheesecake
After our Chili's dinner and a short shopping at the rest of Greenbelt 5, we (my friend and I) went to Conti's to buy a mini of her favorite Mango Bravo and a box of 8 of Chicken Pie and Polvoron.
I wasn't in the mood to buy a whole cake, and buying a slice of mango bravo to go will just result in melted cake. So I just bought a slice of their recommended cake of the moment, the Dulce Cheesecake.
Caramel flavored light cheesecake on a graham crust with a layer of caramel mousse and whipped cream
The mousse part was like caramel ice cream, the cheesecake part was too tangy that I wasn't able to taste any caramel in it, but was thick, while the crust was buttery. I like this new cheesecake from Conti's as there's balance in sweetness and tanginess. as the sweetness of the caramel mousse jives with the too tangy cheesecake layer.

Chili's Chicken Fajitas and Mucho Mango
I went out with another friend, and after shopping non-stop in Landmark and Greenbelt, we rested our very tired feet and had a very late lunch and early dinner at Chili's.
I wanted myron's but we were told that the entire air-conditioned area of the restaurant were reserved that night and only the outdoor area was available. We didn't want to dine outside as it was hot and humid that afternoon/night.
The tostada chips and salsa were complimentary only to waiting customers, but when I asked our very friendly server, Mylene, if we can have some, she readily asked the manager-on-duty and returned with a basketful. That's already a savings of P300.
My friend ordered the beef salpicao that comes with rice, vegetables and buttered toast. She had it well done instead of the recommended medium well, but she said the beef were still very juicy despite being well done/ her choice of cooking (Sorry no photo)
While I had the Chicken Fajitas.
I like everything as they were tasty. It just took almost half an hour to be served. Twice the time it took the beef salpicao. I don't know why.
For drinks my friend had the Fresh Strawberry Smoothie while I had the Mucho Mango upon the recommendation of mylene.
I didn't taste my friend's order, but I definitely liked mine. It was a thick shake with vanilla ice cream as the lead star and the mango and orange sharing equal billing as support.

Starbucks, Pancake House and Yellow Cab
I went for a check-up without eating breakfast. So while waiting for my turn at the doctor's clinic, I went down and bought myself a sandwich at Starbucks.
Chicken pesto was not available so I just bought forest ham, egg whites and gouda.
It was salty on some areas, but overall a good sandwich.
After my check-up I went to Pancake House to meet with a friend for lunch.
As I already had a sandwich for breakfast, I didn't order the Chicken Asparagus but instead had the House Special while
my friend ordered the Warm Bacon Potato Salad and Best Taco.
The Warm Bacon was good but a little bit bland, but nothing that a dash of salt here and there couldn't fix.
The House Special has Spaghetti, Garlic Toast, Chicken with Gravy, Beef Taco and Iced Tea.
Everything was oilier than usual especially the chicken. But I was still able to finish them all. Though I just don't think I'll be having them again anytime soon.
I also don't like that they only serve iced tea for the special.
After my Pancake Lunch, I was supposed to also have Gurtz there, but my friend told me that it wasn't good, so I just had my favorite cutie cup at Tutti Frutti.
This time I had it with Mochi and Sliced Almonds. It was good as always that I was tempted to have more. But I had to stop myself as I had a lot of candies and chocolates in between lunch and Tutti Frutti.
To keep myself from eating I had a haircut and a pedicure. That kept me idle and engrossed with different magazines for an hour.
After that I went to Yellow Cab and ordered a Grilled Chicken Lime Foldover and a Charlie Chan Pasta.
The foldover came with a dip or sauce that you'll pour on your foldover pizza before folding it over.
I like the sauce, the crisp and fresh veggies and the overall taste of the foldover itself, I just don't like that the foldover was dry and rubbery-chewy on some areas.

Cafe Breton
After the movie we had snacks at Cafe Breton.
My friend ordered a DIY crepe with nutella, mango, banana and vanilla ice cream, san pellegrino arranciata and chamomile tea. While I had the Tuna Melt and a DIY crepe of almonds and blueberry ice cream.
The tuna melt was good, with just the right amount of mayo oozing out of the sandwich on my every bite. It comes with a side salad that's just okay.
My crepe that night was kinda chewy, with the edges being crispy. My first time to not like a crepe from cafe breton.

Lugang Cafe
My friend and I went out to watch a movie at the director's club in mall of asia, which btw is very comfortable, with its la-z boy recliner seats. But since it won't start until 4PM, we had a late lunch first at Lugang Cafe, also in mall of asia.
Since I am allergic to shrimps and the chicken xia long bao was not available that day, we just had the vegetable dumplings with truffle oil, also upon the recommendation of the server.
The wrapper was fresh, while the filling reminded me of kuchay dumplings but with a mild hint of truffle. The black vinegar dip was a perfect pair for the dumplings.
Our other dish was the sate beef with spinach.
This was also very good. Although it did taste like it has fish sauce in it, but nevertheless the beef was tender and the spinach cooked just right.
For our dessert we had the peanut smoothie.
Our server warned us that it's good for 5 people and not two, and that we should order something else. But since we really wanted to try it, we went ahead with our order.
It was like eating peanut butter. That I told my friend that the only thing missing was the bread. But we still liked it, especially since it was very hot outside. We needed something cold, even if it tasted like peanut butter.
We weren't able to finish it, maybe just ate half of it. But I don't think it's good for 5. Maybe just 3 or 4, if they are not big eaters.
I like the classy interior of the cafe and also the high ceiling. It helps as the cafe is always full. It made the cafe seemed less crowded as it is.
