CPK and Family Mart

I really like CPK's Kung Pao Chicken that I often order it. I did again just last Tuesday.

And for dessert, I finally got to try the Green Tea Sundae of Family Mart

It's an okay sundae and for just P25, you can twirl as much ice cream as your cone can fit.

CPK Flatbread, Pasta and Fries

Had these for snacks one afternoon.

Their fries are too cloying, or maybe because I ate them all by myself :) While I still prefer their pizzas over the flatbread.

Saturdate

I met up with a friend to get all the stuff I had delivered at her mother's house in Maryland. I arrived half an hour early, so I did some window shopping while drinking my favorite Matcha Smoothie with extra rocksalt and pearls of Happy Lemon. When she arrived, we went to CPK for lunch.

We ordered Kung Pao Chicken Pasta and Meatcravers Pizza. Both were good, but the kung pao was extra spicy that afternoon.

We were given a free dish of the month coupon that I redeemed the day after. I chose the Pepperoni Pizza Roll and added another favorite, the Garlic Cream Fettuccine. The pizza roll was just okay.

For dessert I bought cupcakes from Frostings to take home. Carrot Cream Cheese, Smores Choco Caramel, Red Velvet and Choco Black Out.

A day of favorites

I went to powerplant mall to exchange something that I bought in ever new last sunday. But before I went to ever new, I had lunch first at CPK.

I saw that they have a promotion for the month of february, 2 personal size pizza for 499. California club and italian sausage with pepper. I wanted to order that but I really miss eating my favorite original BBQ chicken pizza, so that's what I ordered, plus raspberry iced tea.

While waiting for the pizza, I drank two glasses of iced tea that when the pizza was served, I was already too full to eat. In short, I just had the pizza to go.

After exchanging the iphone bag, I went at the basement and bought a chocolate cupcake and a cookie at little miss OC's booth.
The cookie and cupcake were both moist and bitter (dark chocolate bitter).

Then off to glorietta and greenbelt I went.

I bought a centennial loaf at the baguio country club section in heaven and eggs glorietta. It's a smaller loaf of their famous raisin bread. I also bought a red velvet and valrhona chocolate cupcake at vanilla cupcake bakery.

For dinner I had carbonara at shakey's. And for dessert, my favorite avocado shake at seattle's best. Then I bought a box of 6 of my favorite macarons at TWG. Can you call this day a day of favorites?

The Cake Club Le Royale and CPK

I have tried their Supermoist and Baked Cheesecake, but that was before, when their serving size was still big.

After my CPK White Pizza dinner, I was to have dessert, and they were the first cafe I saw.

When I asked what their bestseller was aside from the Supermoist and Baked Cheesecake, both servers said, Le Royale. That it sells more than the Supermoist and Baked Cheesecake.

Upon hearing that, and also that that was really the one I wanted to eat as I am a chocoholic, I ordered 2 of it to go (as I still need to go to a lot of shops, and it's just 30 minutes to closing).

At home, after having a snack of pizza, I tried a piece of Le Royale.

It didn't taste as I hope it would. I was disappointed, as a piece cost P250, and I bought two. What a waste of money it was.

CPK

I was craving for their Tortilla Spring Rolls for days, that when I can no longer wait another day, I trooped solo at their Powerplant Mall branch. Also that my other craving, Oliver's Super Sandwiches Tuna Mayo, was in the same mall. Apparently, all other Oliver's branches were closed, other than the one in Enterprise and at the Powerplant Mall cinema level.

For appetizer I had the Tortilla Spring Rolls. They were as good as ever.

I also ordered a personal-sized Garlic Cream Fettuccine with chicken and for drinks, Fresh Lemonade.

The pasta tasted good, but the noodles were hard and not to the bite or al dente.

While their fresh lemonade was very warm, that I asked for a glass full of ice.

Another complaint I had that day was that it took almost 30 minutes for my appetizer to arrive. Those that came after me were already eating their mains, and my appetizer was still not served. It was served only after I asked for it. And the fettucine with hard noodles came 15 minutes after. I have an affinity with CPK that no matter how bad their food or service was that day, I will still come back. I just love CPK.

After my lunch I went down the basement and tasted a lot of sweets. But since I wasn't in the mood to buy a lot, I just bought several slices of caramel cake and chicken pie at Costa Brava. Their chicken pie was filling but not my type.

CPK

We celebrated my niece's graduation with a dinner at CPK.
We ordered the following:

GARLIC CREAM FETTUCINE WITH CHICKEN
- fettuccine in garlic-parmesan cream sauce with Italian parsley and chicken

PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM RAVIOLI
- rosemary ravioli filled with portobello mushrooms, herbs and cheese. Topped with imported Italian tomatoes, fresh basil and garlic parmesan cream sauce

The Portobello Ravioli was delicious as always, the same goes with the Garlic Cream Fettuccine.

KUNG PAO SPAGHETTI

- spaghetti in Kung Pao sauce with garlic, green onions, peanuts and HOT red chilies

The Kung Pao's spicy hot, but you won't be able to stop yourself from eating it (shared sentiment by my niece and brother-in-law)

THE ORIGINAL BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA

- with BBQ sauce, smoked gouda and mozzarella cheeses, BBQ chicken, sliced red onions and cilantro

SANTA FE CHICKEN
- grilled chicken breast, marinated in lime and herbs, caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese and cilantro. Topped with fresh tomato salsa, sour cream and fresh guacamole

I am staying away from eating pizza, as per my doctor's order, Pizza Hut's pizza maybe, because they have oily crust and oily everything, but not CPK's pizza. Their crust are not oily like others, even the cheese in their pizzas are not over the top.

The Original BBQ, my favorite, was overshadowed that night by the Santa Fe pizza, must be the sour cream's fault.

TORTILLA SPRING ROLL

I love the Baja Thai combination of their Tortilla Spring Roll and always order this when I dine alone, with just a drink or a dessert.

CPK Original BBQ Chicken Pizza

Photobucket
My favorite pizza from CPK and from anywhere.

Photobucket
Soft, sweet and chewy dough with ingredients like barbecue sauce, smoked Gouda and Mozzarella cheeses, BBQ Chicken, sliced red onions and cilantro that complement each other. It is delicious, just right out of their brick oven and even when eaten the next day and the day after that, out of the chiller and even the freezer.
