Cookie Dream

I saw their store on my way to Friday's in Mall of Asia. I like ice cream sandwiches so I immediately went inside to give them a try.

They have cookie samples that you can try, before you choose what cookie to have on your sandwich.

Choices were oatmeal, chocolate chip, oreo cheesecake, double chocolate, chocolate chip oatmeal raisin, peanutbutter & m&m's.

You can also sample the different ice cream flavors to help you decide.

And choose from the many toppings.

Here's my choice

Chocolate chip and double chocolate cookies with salted caramel ice cream.

White Chocolate Cookies and Cream

Cajun Roll

The roll was so good that I bought a few more to go.

Steak Fries

This is with truffle oil. And anything with truffle is good.

Kyochon

I wanted the Soonsal, unfortunately it was not available, so I settled for the drumsticks in original flavor. I ordered Kimchi Rice to go with it.

It took quite a long time for my orders to arrive, as they were made to order. 15 minutes to fry their chicken, another 2 minutes for double frying to remove oil completely, and 5 minutes to brush the sauce on all sides carefully.  I thought that I wouldn't enjoy the chicken as the flavors/glaze were on the skin, and as I don't eat chicken skin, that I would just be left with a tasteless chicken. But surprise! Surprise! The flavors were skin deep. The kimchi rice was soooooo spicy, that I felt I was eating chili instead of rice. That explains why every customers that day were ordering garlic butter rice.

They only have one dessert, the Hotteok, Korean pancake with cinnamon and nuts.

It was different as it wasn't the fluffy kind. It has the consistency of a bread, with a pull on your every bite. But it was still good.

I hope they'll add more dessert choices, and that all items will be available every time.

P.S. I went back a few days after and fortunately enough, the Soonsal was available. I immediately ordered that plus an order of Butter Rice. Both were just okay.

Paper Moon Mille Crepe Cake

The first time I went to their branch in Glorietta, this was soldout. Luckily, it was available on my second try.

Unfortunately though, it wasn't that good. It was too bland for my taste. And you'll get too cloyed if you finish a slice.

Kumori's Krone

Not as good as what I expected, but it was still okay.

Starbucks Strawberry Shortcake

Layers of sponge cake and strawberry cheesecake, topped with strawberry cream frosting

I am not a berry cake type of person, but I do like this cake. All the layers, and even the cream frosting worked well together.

Mcdonald's Minions Happy Meal

I chose The Guard minion and upgraded my drink to Banana Float.

I still prefer the green apple, but I'll buy the banana float every now and then, just to shake things up.

Dean and Deluca Grilled Cheese and Matcha Milkshake

At first I thought that they gave me the wrong size of sandwich. That they served me the half order and not the regular/full-sized one, as it's just half a sandwich. But apparently, an order of Grilled Cheese Sandwich, is this size. It's just half a sandwich.

Even if it has three cheeses, I didn't enjoy eating it. And for 450 pesos an order, it was a very expensive half sandwich.

For drinks I tried their Matcha Milkshake

It's just like Starbucks' Green Tea Frap.

Milk Cow Matcha Crunch

A friend told me that her family love Milk Cow. What she said made me curious, that I went all the way to Powerplant Mall just to try it.

A staff told me that the one with honey is their bestseller. But as I love anything with matcha, I ordered the Matcha Crunch

Milk ice cream topped with matcha powder and rice krispies.

I like how creamy and not too sweet the milk ice cream was, but I wish there's more matcha powder. Happy Eating!

Cupcake Lab

I were able to buy miniature versions of their cupcakes.

Red Velvet, Almond Brownie, Ferrero, Peanut Butter S'mores, Chocolate Chip and one which name I forgot.

They were cute, tasty and for just 30 pesos a piece.

Cupcakes by Sonjas

These were what I bought to take home, after our Baskin Robbins dessert. All good.

Baskin Robbins

After our Torch meal, we immediately went to Baskin Robbins for dessert.

I chose Pistachio Almond, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Maui Brownie Madness on a chocolate and nuts coated waffle cone. Unlike Coldstone Creamery, Baskin Robbins waffle cone is made to order.

We didn't know they will be this big, that we each order our own and not share like what those after us did. We know better next time.

Torch

I often read about them on celebrities' instagram posts. That when my friend asked me where we'll eat, I immediately said, at Torch.

As I love anything with truffle, we ordered the Truffle Fries for appetizer.

They weren't as good as Bistecca or Lusso, that I didn't fight with my friend for the last piece.

For our pizza, we ordered half White Truffle Sausage Pizza and half Philly Cheesesteak Pizza

We both like the white truffle sausage pizza more, as the philly cheesesteak pizza was too salty for our taste.

For drinks, I had the Pink Lemonade.

Churreria La Lola

I ordered the Xuxos or stuffed churros. I chose nutella as filling. I also ordered the Churros Classico or the traditional churros, but they are twice the length of common churros. I also added an extra order of their belgian dip for the classico.

Compared to Dulcinea, La Lola's churros were not at all oily, so finishing an entire medium order of the classico didn't feel as sinful. But my favorite was the xuxos. It's very tasty as it's already stuffed with nutella.

Tokyo Tokyo Chicken with Ham and Cheese Katsu

I ordered the upgrade bento that comes with Red Iced Tea and California Maki. I just took the Mango Pannacotta from my husband's regular bento (comes with miso soup and dessert).

I like this new offering from Tokyo Tokyo. I mean, who wouldn't. It has chicken, ham and cheese. And served with gravy, steamed white rice and buttered vegetables.
