TWG Cafe

After our Boon Tat dinner, we went to Marina Bay Sands to shop, watch the lights and fountain show and have dessert.

After shopping and watching the fountain show, it was now time for dessert. We chose to have dessert at the TWG Cafe. I mean I chose and they followed.

There were five of us so we ordered 3 pots of tea. We had the Choco Mint Truffle Tea ( a light after 8 chocolate/mint taste), Creme Caramel Tea (sweeter than the choco mint and has a darker color and taste) and Geisha Blossom Tea (this is the best, subtle but refreshing and soothing. Liked by all of us).

and for dessert: Chestnut Cake (the best among the desserts),

Green Tea Financier (mix of chocolate and green tea, bitter and sweet) and Canele (chewy, sweet and good with jams and clotted cream).

Overall, we were attended very well by all the staff, from the Singaporean hostess at the front steps (she even guided my mother up the steps and down after our snacks) to the Filipino and Singaporean waiters and manager that night. They even gave us a free chestnut cake. They were very nice and welcoming that we can't help but give them a big tip.

The gold tea pot covers were very classy especially when paired with the black pot, the seats were also very regal and the music was soft and relaxing. It was back to the hotel after that, but what a great day it was. I love my loots, the food I ate, the place I'm in and the company I'm with.

Ikea

I am back again at Singapore, though this time I am with my mother and niece.

My sister loves Ikea that she brought us there for lunch and a whole lot of shopping.

swedish meatballs with potatoes, cream sauce and lingonberry (contains mixture of beef and pork, halal meatballs avail in tampines $9.50/20pcs)
- so good! I don't eat pork anymore but I can't stop myself from eating all 20 of them. The potatoes, cream sauce and lingonberry all worked well together and were so delicious with the meatballs. I can eat this entire set everyday.

Photobucket
chicken nuggets with fries
- just okay. Not as salty as Mcdonald's nuggets. Tasted fresh and not over processed. The fries were thick and just lightly-seasoned.

Photobucket
chicken wings
- favorite of my mother and my sister's bf. I just took a bite of this as I am all over the Swedish meatballs. But they were good, especially if you like eating chicken skin which I don't.

cream of mushroom soup and buns
- the soup was also good that I can finish that big serving of it. All shared my sentiments

Photobucket
almond cake with chocolate and butterscotch
- almond based cake layered with cream covered with chocolate and butterscotch bits, $3.20
- good dessert/pie. Love the taste of the crust, the caramel, the chocolate layer and the cream.

You can't go out of Ikea without trying their hotdog, self-serve sundae and that day, their $1 brownie. All were good. Wasn't able to take photos of the hotdog as we devoured them fast. We were hungry after all that furniture and home items shopping. I bought a lot that I had to buy two more bags to put them into. I wanted to buy a white wardrobe (very pretty), pretty pink chair and another pink swivel chair. But my sister said it would be expensive to have them shipped. I can hand carry the chairs though, but since I already have 4 bags to check-in, that wasn't even an option. But I'll be back soon for the chairs so no worries. This time I won't dress shop that much. Good luck to me :-)

Ikea is really a one stop shop. You have furniture, home accessories, a lot of pretty and useful stuff and good food. What more can you ask for? No wonder my sister's there every week.

Cathay, Shokudo and Famous Amos

The next day we were back again at Cathay Cineleisure to watch another movie. This time though we bought more snacks other than the Hotdog Sandwich and Popcorn we had the day before.

We added Chicken Meatballs with Wedges, Nachos and the 5pc Potato Shrimp. I didn't get to take a pic of the Potato Shrimp as they were delivered inside the cinema.

After the movie (which we all slept in, as it was very cold and dark inside, and the seats were just so comfy), we had supper at Shokudo.

We ordered Unagi Pizza,

The unagi pizza, fries and matcha ice cream were all good.

After that we bought some cookies at Famous Amos.

I bought Chocolate White Choc Chip (good), Chocolate Chip & Pecan (good also) and Choc Chip & Macadamia (not that good). Btw, all were crunchy cookies.
