Chateau de France

Their macarons were too sweet and dry.

While their chocolate cake was close to Paul's chocolate cake in taste.

TWG New Macaron Flavors

I like having tea at TWG and I often buy macarons to go. My favorite is the Earl Grey Fortune and Chocolate.

Last week as I was buying yet again my favorite flavor, I saw that they have added 3 new flavors to the display. They were salted caramel, sakura and singapore surprise. Though it's my first time to see the matcha (green tea), apparently it was not part of their new flavor offerings.

The salted caramel was good, the surprise didn't taste like their cake version, and the sakura or cherry blossoms with white chocolate was too sweet for me. The matcha was good though, I would definitely buy it again.

Paul

I watched an episode of KrisTv, where Kris was raving about how good their Eclait Aux Fraises (Strawberry Cream Eclair) was. She also liked their Sauté de Poulet Aux Champignons

So when my college friends and I went out last Saturday, we dined there for snacks after our heavy Bulgogi Brothers meal.

A friend and I shared on an order of Sauté de Poulet Aux Champignons,

Roasted chicken chunks in a creamy sauteed mushrooms sauce. Served with slices of paul's country bread to dip in.

They were good. But they are better shared than eaten alone.

Since we also wanted to have tea for drinks, we ordered their Thé Surprise

Any tea served with a mini crème brûlée, 1/2 moelleux chocolat slice, and two mini macarons

I like everything on this plate. Everything was good.

We also ordered a piece of Eclait Aux Fraises

Traditional choux pastry with strawberries and whipped cream

It was so good. The cream tasted heavenly and the strawberries were plump and fresh. My friend even said that she wanted it as her last bite, as she wanted the taste of it to linger.

We also shared on a piece of Chocolate Tart (I forgot to get its french name), which was also good, but not as good as the eclair.

A friend also ordered this,

Forgot its name. She only liked the chocolate and not the pastry.

We were all impressed with what we ordered that we went back a few days after and ordered the same thing, except the tart.

Todd English Food Hall

When I heard that they were already open, I went to SM Aura right away to try them.

Based on what I read, their must-tries are the Fig and Prosciutto on Flat Bread, the Steak Asada Tacos and the OMG Cake.

I went there around 5PM and were told that they won't open til 6PM, so I bought myself a piece of Paul's strawberry cream eclair to eat while waiting.

I chose to eat at the bar since I went there solo, and also to give way to the other diners with company.

When I told the server that I wanted the Fig and Prosciutto, she told me that it is a big order for a solo diner, and that I should just order their bestseller sandwich/burger, the T.E. Slider

The 3 mini-burgers come with fries and some greens.

At first bite again, it tasted like Burger King Whopper, as it's grilled. But that's where their similarity stops. T.E.'s patties tasted fresh and were also thick, it just needed more seasoning.

The fries that came with them tasted like a vegetable that I can't pinpoint what. But they do taste good.

For dessert I ordered the OMG Cake

It was too sweet for me that I only ate a little of it.

Eric Kayser Salted Caramel Eclair

I love everything about this eclair. Also, that it has just the right amount of sweetness. I should have bought more.
