HK Eats - Maxim's Deluxe

Since I still have left-over hongkong dollars, I decided to spend it all inside Maxim’s Deluxe in Terminal 1 of Hongkong Airport.


I bought the Egg Salad and Sausage Sandwich Croissant, Hokkaido Chocolate Dome and Ham and Egg Salad Turn-Over.




The egg salad and sausage were good, same goes with the soft and buttery croissant.

The chocolate dome was more like a choco bun but with chocolate filling instead of butter. I liked the good chocolate taste of the chocolate cream filling and the thin chocolate coating on top.

The ham and egg salad were both good while the pastry crust used in the turn-over was also buttery-soft and flaky (in a good way).

HK Eats – Bayview Restaurant

After a very hot and humid day of strolling in Ocean Park, we stopped for a quick pick-me-up at The Bayview Restaurant.



I ordered the Bread and Butter Pudding for HK$25, my sister the Kiddie Set Meal , while my mother ordered the Chops with Sweet Sauce, Veggies and Rice and Soup with Bread.

Bread and butter pudding topped with powdered sugar and generous amount of vanilla sauce.


It was a good pudding, soft and crunchy at the same time. And the sauce was also delicious.

My sister loved the kiddie set meal of 3 mini hotdogs with sauce, spaghetti bolognese, potato wedges and jelly for dessert. She said that everything on that plate was tasty and delicious. More than worthy of the amount she paid for.



My mother said that her order was also good, the Chops especially, were better than what she had in Main Street Disneyland.


We came out of the resto recharged, ready to face the 3 o’clock blaring heat and watch the Dolphin Show.

HK Eats – Yoshinoya

Yoshi Beef and Chicken Combo Bowl Set HK$35 served with 16oz soft drink or miso soup or Japanese tea. The drink can be upgraded to cold/hot drink for HK$1 or HK$4.50 more for a bottle of fruit juice or HK$6 for a nata de coco fruit punch or mango red tea. You can also order a side dish of beef for only HK$15.

Yoshi Beef is their specialty. Made from premium beef and special stock.


It was cut very thinly, that it almost melted in my mouth. The same goes with the chicken, while the sauce added extra flavour to an already delicious dish. It also has lots of vegetables that though overcooked were still good for our health.

I also ordered Egg Custard Soup or Chawan Mushi.


Though it has lots of ingredients, it was very thick that it didn’t make it enjoyable to have as a soup. It was also slightly bland in taste. I still like Sakae Sushi’s version more.

HK Eats – Bubba Gump

After admiring the breathtaking view of HK skyline at night at The Peak, we came down for a very late dinner at Bubba Gump.


We ordered their Frankie‘s Baked Seafood Rice HK$118 and Duck Shrimps.

The Seafood Rice has shrimps, calamari, fish, spinach and rice with a Parmesan cream sauce and topped with jack and cheddar cheeses. This dish is exclusive to HK Bubba Gump only, made creatively by Chef Frankie.


This was very good, as in to-die-for delicious. Equal seafood, rice and sauce ratio. A complete meal by itself, though ordering another entree like the Duck Shrimps wouldn’t hurt.

The Duck Shrimps have perfectly-seasoned, breaded and fried shrimps and crispy fries, served with coleslaw.


I liked the shrimps and fries but not much of the coleslaw. But overall the coleslaw cut the creaminess of the seafood rice a little.

I also had the Cinnamon Bread Pudding with vanilla sauce, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.


It was also good and delicious.
