Pepper Lunch

My friend and I went out very late in the afternoon just to eat at Pepper Lunch. We both ordered the Jumbo Beef Pepper Rice and Goma Soft-Serve Ice Cream.




We were both disappointed as the beef were mostly fatty parts, like more than half. Also, that even with the hot temperature inside the restaurant (Mall of Asia branch), the hot plate cooled off easily leaving us with most of the beef still uncooked. The soda too lacked carbonation that we had it replaced, only to be given another soda still without carbonation. In the end, we just drank plain water.

Piadina Cappo di Tutti and Carbonara

After watching Bourne Legacy, which I found "bitin", I went to Piadina for my dinner.  Since I was craving for their Carbonara, I ordered that with Cappo di Tutti Pizza.



I initially wanted the Quattro Formaggi, but since I already have a white sauce/creamy pasta, my pizza shouldn't be as creamy or rich.

The Carbonara was very oily, and lacked the salty kick from the bacon and the Parmesan cheese. It wasn't as good as my last taste of it from their Food Choices branch.

The Cappo di Tutti's crust was the same as the bread that comes with their pasta. While the toppings were somewhat scarce for something that boasts of having everything on it. Something in the toppings also tasted off.

Vermont Classic Frozen Custard

Even if I have swollen tonsils and was advised to stay away from sweets and anything cold, I can't pass up the chance to try the Frozen Custard in Lulu Belle.

Since I am a certified chocoholic, I  chose the Brownie Batter, but instead of having the Hazelnut Malt Concoction, I chose to pick my own topping of choco mallows.



The Brownie Batter was very sweet. It was a cross between Wendy's Frosty and a brownie batter. Still, it wasn't as sweet as their Cheesecake flavor, which was almost as sweet as a Leche Flan.

Even with that said, I still like them both, but won't be having them again anytime soon, as they are what you can consider an indulgence.

McDonald's

I thought that the Bakers' Dozen was now a regular weekend event in Powerplant Mall, that I immediately went there after my check-up. Only to find the basement's aisle empty. Hungry and disappointed I just had my very late lunch at McDonald's.

I ordered the Medium Mc Chicken Sandwich Meal, with the fries changed to Twister Fries. I also bought the entire 6-piece Coca Cola Olympics Glass. And btw, they were so cute.




Later in the evening, I went back at McDonald's for dinner. I ordered the Mc Chicken and Spaghetti Meal and an order of Large Twister Fries.

Deliveries

Had these delivered as I can't get out of the house.
These were all just for me. My lunch and merienda (snack) for that day.

McDonald's Big N' Tasty, French Fries, Chicken Nuggets, Spaghetti and Chicken


- the veggies of the Big n' Tasty weren't that fresh anymore, I still prefer the Double Cheeseburger and Cheeseburger than this
- also it took them almost 2 hours to deliver my order. They came up with excuses like they have a lot of deliveries that day and so and so. I haven't had that experience with Jollibee. With Jollibee you'll get 200 peso worth of gc if they go beyond 30 minutes. Maybe McDonald's should implement the same.
- btw, this was way before the storm, almost 3 weeks ago

Chowking Halo-Halo ( one with macapuno and the other topped with ube ice cream), Buchi and Beef Siomai

- they ran out of crushed ice that I had to cancel my order and re-order after 3 hours
