Floating Island Choco Fudge

Layers of chocolate cake, chocolate fudge and caramel for P60.00

The fudge tasted like Polly's Chocolate Cake Icing (made with condensed milk), the chocolate cake was moist while the caramel was a paler and less sweet version of a yema.

Overall, a good cake to eat while waiting at the doctor's office.

Lusso's Lobster and River Prawn Roll

With home-made mayo and served with side salad and chips for P450.00 .

The bun was so good I would want to eat it every day.

It was crunchy, chewy and soft.

There's crunch at first bite, followed by chewiness then it just melted smoothly in my mouth.

I can compare the filling to an untouched (unglazed, no sauce, just bare) prawns. No sauces nor dips to mask its taste, pure and naked as you may say. So it's bland and slightly fishy but juicy. Juices seeped out of my sandwich on my every bite. While the mayo was so light I hardly noticed it.

- with marinated chicken, spinach, white sauce and cheese

The bread was so soft while the toppings were proportionate to its size.

You might think otherwise since there's an inch or so space around the edges, but when you eat it you will understand. You'll understand that you needed those inches of untopped bread to break the taste of the toppings ( salty spinach and creamy white sauce).

This is better and filling than other real pizzas.

TUNA WASABI ROLL P55.00

- with Parmesan cheese

The tuna filling was so good that I wish it has more of it. I was also left with quite a few bread that I don't know what to do with it.

It doesn't mean that it wasn't soft because it was, just that compared to the Chicken Spinach, it has a crunchy top brought by the Parmesan cheese that also gave it a salty-garlicky vibe reminiscent of Sbarro's Garlic Roll.

Beryl's Tiramisu Almond Milk Chocolate

Roasted almond coated with tiramisu milk chocolate and dusted with cocoa.

This gave more of a dark chocolate taste than their Beryl's Almond Coated in Bittersweet Chocolate, maybe brought about by the additional cocoa dust. This also has a very rich chocolate taste.

This is my favorite chocolate of the moment. I even brought boxes of these on my Singapore trip as pre-boarding snacks.

They did filled me up for that almost 4 hours of waiting ( I came 4 hours early for my flight, didn't expect that there wouldn't be any traffic).

Though I tend to finish boxes of these in one sitting. So that boxes that I brought were gone 20 minutes before boarding.

Beryl's Tiramisu Milk Chocolate

Tiramisu milk chocolate rolled in cocoa dust.

Made from 78% milk chocolate and 17% dark chocolate.

Slightly lighter in chocolate taste than their other chocolate flavors but the richest overall (sweet and creamy).

I still like the one with nuts more because there's something to break the rich chocolate taste.

Beryl's Almond

Almonds coated with bittersweet chocolate.

Beryl's chocolate is made from cocoa beans from Ghana, a country known for its high-quality cocoa.

They were indeed rich, smooth and delicious.

Somewhat similar to Goya's Chocolates and Ricoa Flat Tops just better.

They also didn't taste like any other bittersweet chocolate I've had. There were no bitter taste in them, even just a teeny bit.

The chocolate coating the cake tasted like Theobroma's Chocolate Cake. The insides were moist and fudgy while the mousse tasted nothing but sweet.

Jipan's Stew Pot

The bread was so crunchy that it was hard to bite off it.

It was like a pot pie on a bread. It has the appearance of a pot pie with the consistency of a stoup ( coined by Rachael Ray, in between a stew and a soup) but with corn chowder taste. And instead of a pie crust covering the stew/pie, it was a thin layer of mozzarella cheese.

Sebastian's Nutella Cookies n' Cremeburger

Dark chocolate cookies filled with Nutella ice cream and rolled in crushed Oreos.

Since I haven't tasted their Nutella ice cream yet, I had a sample first of their Bananutella Ice Cream before buying their Nutella Burger.

I didn't taste the nutella in the ice cream that the lady staff gave me another sample, still I didn't taste it. I was then apprehensive to buy the Nutella Burger but the lady staff said that that was the best choice among the four burgers that day that I believed her and bought one.

Well, I shouldn't have. Because it really was tasteless, the nutella ice cream I mean. Good thing though that the dark chocolate cookies and crushed oreos were good or else it would have been a total waste of money.

Jipan's Ham and Cheese Croissant

Buttery, make that too buttery, soft and flaky croissant with ham and cheese occupying the entire croissant.

I love that it gave the baked pasta or cheese pizza vibe with that much melted cheese and bechamel-type white sauce.

What I don't like was it being too buttery. I felt guilty, cautious and concerned with my health. Hopefully they can do something about it. I wish. Because it was really good sans the too buttery part.

Yumpanada Spicy Beef

Doughy-type of crust , soft and subtly sweet, while the beef filling just taste spicy and nothing else. Overall, it was okay though.

Brownies Unlimited

All the brownie flavors were just okay. Some were extremely dry, others moist but not fudgy.

My only favorite is the Walnut Swirl, which was half brownie and half cheesecake.

Moist, tart, sweet , creamy and with just enough walnuts to go around.

Sbarro's Spinach Calzone

In a soft crust with crusty edges.

The calzone smelled weird and a little bit fishy but tasted okay.

It didn't taste at all of spinach but mostly of cream and cheese, especially when dipped or topped with the marinara sauce. But visually it's full of spinach.

Dezaato Pan Kani and Corn Ro-Ru Pan

Rolled sweet dough with crunchy meat floss topped with kani, ham, corn and fresh leeks.

As with anything with pork floss, you'll feel nauseous after, even if it has mayonnaise or not.

And as much as I like how it tasted, I just don't like the feeling after.

Jipan Pizza Stick

Brioche type bread topped with tomato sauce, green bell pepper, mayonnaise, egg, bacon and cheese.

This was very filling, even compared to a slice of pizza hut's stuffed crust pizza. Definitely one of this is enough.

I like everything in here, especially the egg. What I don't like was, like their Ham and Cheese Croissant, it was very oily. And the bacon added more to that.

Beryl's Tiramisu Almond White

Chocolate made with 76% white chocolate, there's also caramel powder in the ingredients list together with full cream milk powder, cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder and of course, almonds.

Roasted almond coated in tiramisu white chocolate and dusted with cocoa powder.

The white chocolate taste and richness were somewhat tamed by that undisclosed ingredient/s that gave this chocolate its tiramisu taste, caramel maybe?

SINGAPORE EATS - Ice Cream Bread

This was my last dessert in Singapore. I chanced upon it when I made a last minute trip to Bugis for souvenir t-shirts.

The other ice cream choices were Chocolate, Chocolate Chips, Sweet Corn and Durian but what I had was the Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream on Bread for SG$1.

As thick as butter raspberry flavored ice cream on a sweet bread.

It was frozen (of course), so the first few bites will give you brain freeze. But every bite and lick of that delicious, slightly bubble gummy (taste), creamy and fragrant ice cream with the sweet, pastel-colored, fruity, soft and fragrant bread was so divine it will make you not want to leave the stall/cart for seconds or thirds or even stay in Singapore for good.
