Bubba Gump - Trinoma

I made plans with my sister last Monday to eat at Ruby Tuesday in Trinoma.
Unfortunately, that day they were closed for inspection by their US franchisor.

We scanned the mall directory for other options. My sister said she wanted burger, pasta or something with rice. So I narrowed it down to Friday's, Max Brenner, CPK, Madison Grill, holy Cow and Bubba Gump. She also wanted somewhere she hasn't tried yet, so out were Max, CPK and Friday's. We went to Madison & Holy Cow but both were also closed that time =( So we're left with Bubba Gump.

Bubba Gump is a chain of seafood restaurant inspired by the 1994 film Forrest Gump - wikipedia.

We ordered Texas Cajun Chicken Sandwich P325,

Cajun grilled chicken, crisp bacon, pepper jack cheese & guacamole on a toasted bun.
It comes with fries, coleslaw and whole pickle.

The sandwich was big and delicious. You can taste the grilled flavor of the chicken, the slight spiciness of the melted cheese & the creaminess of the guacamole. When combined, they're incredibly delicious.

The coleslaw was juicy & not dry. It was well-seasoned & there's still a slight crunch in the veggies.

The fries, though, just slightly bigger than the fries of McDo, were crunchy & have a sour cream & onion taste to it.

There's nothing bad we (my sister & I) can say about the sandwich. We kept on saying yummy on everything, even the pickle.

For drinks we ordered the Frozen Lemon-Ups P115.

It comes in either Blue or Pink (color).

It taste like calamansi slush with the best tasting cherry (according to my sister) on top.

It is served on a colored bubble glass which has blinking colored lights at the bottom. You can opt to bring the glass home for an extra P400.

For dessert we had Mini Mud Pie P150.

Layer each of vanilla & chocolate ice cream on an Oreo crust with whipped cream & chunks of snickers chocolate, topped with caramel & streams of chocolate syrup & smothered with crunchy peanuts. Whew!

It is serve frozen with frozen spoon to boot.

It's good but the Rocky Almond Bar of Five Cows still better.
It only has one crust unlike the Almond Bar which looked like an ice cream sandwich.

A mini is already good for sharing. This is the type of dessert which a little goes a long way. Eating too much of it can be nauseating. And as my sister said, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the experience nor the taste of it.

Overall, we were more than satisfied with the speed of service, the attentiveness of the servers & the taste of all our orders.

Even before we were able to finish our meal, we're already planning on what to order for our next visit (Shrimp Po' Boy & To Share Chocolate Cake).

Happy Eating!
