Sucree Uber Torten
UBER TORTEN P950.00 (WHOLE)/ P125.00 (SLICE)
Layers of japonaise (almond meringue), ube halaya and cream filling topped with ube mousse with dulce de leche and finished with ube bits, cream rosette and candy sprinkles.
When the server told me that it was a light cake I didn't believe her. Why should I? Ube Halaya by itself is already heavy, add the cream and the japonaise, then you have one heavy on the tummy and very rich cake.
But it's not. It was not too sweet, light on the tummy and also light in taste.
The dulce de leche in the mousse didn't do anything except add sourness to the cake. It is better without it. The japonaise was crunchy and chewy while the ube mousse was like ube ice cream, smooth and rich.
Overall it was a good cake but not my type of cake.
I always order their cakes with their strawberry and lemon grass green tea infusion. It was so good that even non-tea drinkers will like it.

Amici Caramel Turrones
Amici in Don Bosco Makati already offers Caramia's menu including their gelato cakes. Since I wasn't up for their cakes that afternoon I settled for their almost new gelato flavor, the Caramel Turrones.
I wasn't quite sure on how to explain its taste. If it's buttery, sweet or anything in that league. What I know was that it's good and with whole walnuts to boot.

Momo Kilfer Potatoes
These are also my favorite, the original is of course from Chelsea in Serendra. Since they're sister company of Chelsea, I asked the Chef at Momo if they also offer kilfer potatoes and if they are the same as those serve in Chelsea. He said yes that I ordered one immediately.
When they presented me the bill I was surprised with the total charge. It was P150.00 an order. A lot compared to just P60.00 of Chelsea and the serving size was also different.
Also, Momo's kilfer potatoes have curly fries with it. And though they were expensive, they are still as good as Chelsea's Kilfer.

Bo's Coffee Tripple Chocolate Cake
I don't know if it's a typo error or not, that it's triple and not tripple. Anyways, it has layers of chocolate mousse and chocolate cake covered with cream and ganache.

Chef d' Angelo Italian Garlic Mushroom Pizza
ITALIAN GARLIC MUSHROOM PIZZA (9 IN) P220.00
It has the same base and sauce as their Great White, alfredo sauce and mozzarella, but with toppings like Italian sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni, onions and tomatoes.
This could have been better if they use an Italian sausage that's salty and maybe bacon too.

Sango's Maccha Azuki Flakes
I love anything with green tea. Green tea frap, green tea chocolate, green tea bun, green tea gelato, green tea (hot drink), and so on. That's one of the reasons I love Kozui's Taro Anmitsu. But since I can't go that afternoon in Tomas Morato for the anmitsu, I ordered the 3rd best thing (next to Tokyo Cafe's Adzuki Parfait), Sango's Maccha Azuki Flakes (P85.00)
Soft-serve green tea ice cream topped with corn flakes, mochi balls and azuki beans.
Though it wasn't as good as Kozui's Taro Anmitsu it did satisfy my green tea craving.

Layers of chocolate sponge filled with chocolate mousse and cream filling, lavishly covered with wicked chocolate ganache and topped with bittersweet chocolate.
This was a good cake with thick ganache, moist chocolate sponge and tart cream cheese filling and one that's definitely worth trying.

My Favorite Fries
Are from Chef d'Angelo's.
I really love their fries. I don't eat it alone or with ketchup or mayo, I always eat it with their ranch dressing.
It is my constant order in Chef. I order anything with fries but my usual order is their Sampler 2 (chicken, pizza and fries with ranch).
Just recently I ordered Solo Fries with Ranch Dressing (FRIES P50.00 + RANCH P17.00)
Their fries were eternally crispy and salty, and heaven when dipped on their ranch dressing.

Chef d' Angelo Great White
Freshly made pizza crust topped with bacon, shrimps and mushrooms with garlic over Alfredo sauce.

This was my favorite back in the days (2002 or 03). I thought this was so good and delicious. I don't know if I was the one who upped my standards or Chef lowered theirs.
The pizza wasn't as delicious as before. The crust was still soft and chewy but the toppings on it were bland. I remembered how good the merger of the white sauce and mozzarella cheese was back then, I don't seem to get it now.

Dusit Thani's Burre Rustic
Layers of chiffon cake, chocolate hazelnut mousse and vanilla mousse enrobed in chocolate ganache topped with macadamia nuts and with pralines running around the bottom.

The chocolate/hazelnut cream was very rich downplayed by the lightness of the vanilla cream.
I love everything in this cake except the chiffon which was dry. A butter cake is a more suitable replacement.
Also, I love how at some point the cake gave this choco-hazelnut/nutella vibe.

Cuerva's Honey Cake
Chiffon cake wrapped in buttercream and pralines at P50.00 a slice.
This is not a light cake, it may seem like one with the chiffon cake, but the combination of buttercream and pralines made a whole lot of difference in its taste, texture and calorie count.

Amici Cakes
Still in Mega Atrium, after lunch of fish scallopini at Eat and Go I had my dessert/s at another restaurant, Amici.
I ordered Nocciola Gateau (P75.00/slice), alternating layers of hazelnut cream, chocolate and meringue finished with cocoa dusting.
It was like a sansrival with the crunchy meringue but the taste was purely of Nutella.
Buttercream tends to make me cringe, a lot of it that is. That's the reason why I removed almost 4/6 of the buttercream in Goldilocks Choco Sansrival.
It was a good thing that in Amici's Nocciola the buttercream was replaced with hazelnut cream and who wouldn't love a lot of that?
Compared to buttercream, the hazelnut cream was not that nauseatingly-rich plus the hazelnut flavor was very prominent, like eating Nutella spread.
I also had the Pistaccioccolato (P65.00/slice), layers of chocolate sponge cake, pistachio cream, cream and chocolate ganache.
It was delicious. The sponge cake was moist, the pistachio cream tasted like BTIC's pistachio and when you forget that it is a pistachio cake the pistachio nuts at the top and bottom will remind you.
