Caffe Ti Amo
After watching Catch Me, and after my theater snacks of Quickly Taro Taro and French Baker's Peanut Butter and Oatmeal and Raisin Cookies, I had another dessert at Caffe Ti Amo. I sampled just two flavors, Blueberry Cheesecake and Dulce de Leche.
The blueberry was true to its name, just milder, same with the dulce de leche. Between the two, the dulce was sweeter and has a stronger taste. I ordered the uno waffle gelato - 1/4 waffle with fruits, whipped cream and caramel sauce, topped with gelato. It is just good for one. The fruits were just mini pieces of watermelon and a peach wedge. The waffle was crunchy on the outside but almost hollow and soft inside. It (waffle) was good with just the whipped cream and caramel sauce. It can even do without the gelato which was bland compared to the whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Btw, I were told that their gelatos have 90% less fat and sugar. This statement confused me. I just watched Lizzie McGuire The Movie, a few weeks ago. They were in Italy, and when they went inside a gelato shop, their teacher said that a gelato is like an ice cream but with just more sugar. I don't know if this is true or not. If gelatos are supposed to be liked that, sweeter than ice cream thus have more sugar, and Caffe Ti Amo just made theirs healthier, thus the 90% less fat and sugar.

Tutti Frutti Passion Fruit
The flavors that day that I chose were passion fruit, original tart and taro.
While the other available flavors are cookies n cream, very berry and death by chocolate.
I love the tanginess of the passion fruit paired with the tartness of the original tart. I added the taro just for kicks. But that day I really can't get over the refreshing taste of the passion fruit and so does my sister.

Bretonne Galette and Co
Back again at Cafe Breton, we ordered the following
GALETTE BRETONNE (P267)
- spinach, shrimps sauteed with crab meat, fresh cream and Gruyere cheese
So delicious and filling. Not too rich even with the fresh cream and Gruyere. And compared with my previous savoury crepe/galette orders, this was bigger and thicker, that I even let my entire family taste it.
BRETON MOZZARELLA BURGER (P204.75)
- all beef patty with a mozzarella surprise, served with a side salad
Soft and juicy beef patty. Used high quality beef according to my brother-in-law and the rest of my family members. My brother said that this was best eaten cold, the day after.
GO FISH OPEN FACE SANDWICH (P204.75)
- smoked salmon on a bed of scrambled egg and whole wheat toast
I like how soft and creamy the eggs were and how fresh the salmon tasted. It just needed more salmon.
POSEIDON (P238)
- smoked salmon, dill sauce, sour cream and capers
This was my least favorite among their savoury crepes. I don't like the caper and the too tangy dill sauce. Only the salmon and the buckwheat galette were what I liked.
I am aware that dill is the usual accompaniment of salmon, but I really don't liked its taste in the crepe. It was too tangy.
BLUEBERRIES AND CREAM (P228)
- blueberries in syrup and cream, with vanilla ice cream
Mango ice cream was put instead of vanilla.
According to my sister this has a clean, cohesive, simple and light taste than their original sin.
For my dessert, since I already ate 2 savoury galettes (Bretonne and Poseidon), I just had a scoop of caramel ice cream with sliced almonds.
For their drinks they had, Cafe Mocha and Rootbeer Float.

Bfast Quezo de Bola Cheesecake
The idea has potential. They just had problems with the execution.
The cheesecake was inconsistent. On one area it was flan-like (brulee-like), on another it was like a butter cake and on another a cheesecake. On one part it was bitter, on another it was tart, and on another it was bland.
The cheesecake also deflated upon slicing, that they had to fix it before putting it back on display.
It has a lot to improve upon, but in spite of everything, I still like it. I like the brulee part and the pili nuts used.

Golden Spoon
The flavors that day were Simply Tart, Double Vanilla, Cake Batter, Orange 50/50, Boysenberry and Belgian Chocolate
The staff said that all flavors are low in sugar and are non-fat, even the Cake Batter which was so sweet.
The Orange 50/50 tasted like Royal Tru Orange, the Boysenberry like blueberries, the Simply Tart was tangy, the Double Vanilla tasted like McDo's sundae, while the Cake Batter was like Jollibee's Sundae, which has a condensed milk color and taste.
I was torn between Butter Pecan and Almond Roca for topping, but since I don't want it to be too rich, I chose the Almond Roca. A terrific choice. It went perfectly well with the Cake Batter yogurt flavor. Creamy, crunchy, sweet, nutty and slightly toffee-ish.

Omakase Seafood Dumpling
- deep fried assorted seafood wrapped in nori
I was craving for unagi and tuna that night and they were both satisfied by the seafood dumpling. I wasn't sure what seafood were in there, but they gave me the unagi, salmon and tuna taste. I also wasn't sure if what I had tasted were in there, but I really don't care. It doesn't really matter. What matters was that they were good, delicious even, paired with their sticky japanese rice.

French Baker and Jack's Loft
I just had CBTL's Blueberry Cheesecake for 3 consecutive days now, that I feel I needed a break from it.
Things would have been easier if I were allowed chocolates. There are a lot of new desserts at Starbucks, all of which has chocolates, even their cake pops' base is chocolate cake. So to deviate from the usual cakes and brownies, I had cookies for dessert.
STARBUCKS CAKE POPS
I bought Jack's Loft White Choco Chunk Cookie (P30) and French Baker's Peanut Butter (P37) and Oatmeal Raisin (P46)
JACK'S LOFT WHITE CHOCO CHUNK
The White Choco Chunk of Jack's Loft smelled divine. As if you were transported to a confectionery shop. I smelled it a couple more times before I took a bite, rather I broke a piece.
It was crispy, sweet and creamy but with not much white chocolate in it. It would have been better if it were chewy rather than crispy. But I wouldn't mind buying one or two again, just for the smell.
I am fascinated with anything Parisian. Paris is on the top of my bucket list. The city I would really, really, really love to visit if money was not an option. So it wouldn't be a surprise that I like French Baker's tray liners, so much so that I take it home with me, just one per design :-)
FRENCH BAKER OATMEAL RAISIN AND PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
Now back to the cookies, I bought Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies from them (French Baker).
They both didn't have that confectionery smell that Jack's Loft White Choco has, but they were better, better in taste.
From the two, I like the Peanut Butter more. It was chewy, buttery, slightly salty and nutty too. The Oatmeal Raisin is, I were told , the best seller. It was also super chewy. I just found it too sweet though esp the raisins.

CBTL Blueberry Cheesecake
If I can't think of what to have for dessert in Robinsons Place Ermita, this is what I would buy.
There's not much to consider for someone who's off chocolates. Most desserts nowadays either have coffee, liqueur, chocolates or tea. All of which I was asked to avoid for the meantime (indefinitely).
Right now, I am running out of options and choices.
Their Blueberry Cheesecake was not something that I would have often if I was allowed chocolates or tea. But for now it would do. It was creamy, not too sweet, and it's crust was also okay, not oily like Banapple's. So it would really be okay for now.
My usual order before was their Chicago Cheesecake, but since I want it a little bit sweeter, I order the Blueberry. The only difference was the topping anyways.
Happy Eating!
